The rain stopped, we did get the garden planted, well most of it. I think when the rain quit, Spring quit. The plants that we put out are still struggling to make it. We are getting a few tomatoes, zucchini, and a cuke now and then. The deer are being well fed again. I sure wish it was open season, I would have a freezer full. I am beginning to get the feeling that, for all the money we spend on growing plants in the greenhouse, the extra wood, growing media, electricity, and water. It would probably be better for us to make a trip to Aldi's or Sam's and just stock the pantry.  I know it wouldn't taste near as good, or be as good for us, but I really think it would be a lot more cost effective. We need to spend time rebuilding the soil, building 20ft fences to keep out the deer, and putting in a rain catchment / irrigation system.  The utility company has raised their rate again, so anything to cut down on the electric bill would be a plus.  There is just so much to do, and so lil to do it with.  I am not complaining, even though it seems like it.  I know God has always seen to our needs, and will continue to do so. We will survive, and learn from these times as we go forward.
